| Anne PriceAnne Price’s passion in life is raptors which she discovered when she was 12 years old. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, volunteering at Marine World Africa USA, and received her falconry license when she was 16. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a B. A. in Environmental, Population and Organismic Biology. As an environmental scientist with Bechtel Corporation, she worked on a variety of projects, including Denver International Airport. She has been with the Raptor Education Foundation since 1986, where she serves as Curator and heads the docent program. She shares her home in Littleton, Colorado with her husband, two children, a standard schnauzer, a Harris’ Hawk and a Merlin. The latter is actively flown at quarry, and Anne is involved with the Colorado Hawking Club, as its Central Director.Anne is pictured with one of the Foundation's golden eagles. She met this eagle when she was 12 years old, at Marine World Africa USA, which in 2002, makes this magnificent raptor around 52 years old. When Marine World had to divest itself of this bird, Anne had it transferred to REF. This bird was originally trapped in southern California and utilized in film work at a time when the laws were considerably more lax about keeping raptors.
