As a non-profit organization, REF is supported by memberships, product sales, and
donations from individuals and corporations... not your tax dollars!
As a member, you will have acted to take responsibility for the environment, the conservation of the magnificent raptors, and preservation of ecological diversity. Depending on membership levels, members receive our new book, Raptors, invitations to member only events, and the opportunity to tour our facilities. Certain membership levels also receive Colorado's exclusive wildlife license plate with their membership All members receive a membership card with discounts on certain premium items and programs.
Members who are interested in learning to work with raptors have the additional opportunity to apply for our docent training program. The training program provides our volunteers with information on basic biology, ecology and natural history of raptors... as well as legal, medical and safety aspects of their care. The training course is typically taught once each year, and may be applied for after membership fees have been paid.

Donations of appreciated stock or other assets are additional ways that you may help REF continue to expand its efforts in promoting environmental literacy. Should you wish to know how you can benefit from special tax consequences via trusts, bequests, or gifts, please contact our offices. Stock gifts can be made directly to Dain Rauscher Investment Services: phone #(800) 636-4044. Ask for Karen Anderson or Chip Johnson and they will assist you with the necessary documents. Donations of various items can also be very important in allowing REF to assign limited funds to the most needed areas. Typical of other charities, we accept larger items such as automobiles, listed above, but we also have need of other items which many people may not think of as a gift. Raptor food, such as old game meat (no ground meat) that needs to be cleared out for the next hunting season; used office equipment and used garden tools can also make a big difference. Or maybe you own a printing business and would like to provide your expertise to further our mission... the possibilities are many. Thank you for your interest in assisting our goals.
